Getting closer...

Recently, there was another unexpected sudden development: Shaan and the kids drove by to look at the house the other day and most of the siding was already finished! Fortunately, the roof is also finished under all that snow. I had to adjust the brightness on this photo so the siding and roof are a bit darker than what this shows, but not much:

Everything is coming together now. We're still making small changes but trying to keep them to a minimum. I think that every time I talk to the electrician it ends up costing me $500. The cabinets have been ordered and we took an expensive trip to the appliance store Saturday. Insulation is going in now and it won't be long before we start doing some of the finish work inside.

It's happening a little faster than we expected which would be good except it just happens to be a busy time for me at work. Between our vacation to Disneyland next week and me going back and forth to TX and over to India for work, I'll only be home a week or two until the end of April.

On a related note, anyone with experience in (or ownership of equipment to facilitate) any of these tasks : laying tile, carpet installation, hardwood floor installation and/or finishing or interior painting - and who's been thinking, "Is there any way I could exchange labor in these skills for pizza and/or sub sandwiches and a variety of bottled waters, Gatorade and assorted carbonated beverages?", your opportunity has arrived!!!
